Hello and welcome to Will County Mothers of Twins Club! Being a mom is the most rewarding (and challenging) role I've ever taken. Being a mom of multiples has it's own blessings and challenges as well! My twins came home from the NICU at 4 weeks old to an 18 month older brother. So, for the first several months, I had 3 children under 2 years of age. Those early days were a blur filled with piles of bottles, 4 a.m. feedings and diapers...lots of diapers. There were days I didn't know if I would make it. Although I had help from family and friends, the guidance I received from fellow moms of multiples (MOMs) was invaluable. Three years later, the support scope may have changed a little, but the need for someone who really "gets it" hasn't. And now with a little time and experience under my MOM belt, I can pass down some of my tricks for surviving (and thriving) as a twin mom. WCMOTC exists to provide support to other parents of multiples. That support comes in different forms like club-organized outings, meals for new moms, monthly meetings with a variety of helpful topics and clothing resales. We also have a philanthropic commitment to other families of multiples which is funded through bake sales, resales and other fundraisers. I have found that the friendships I have made through this club are invaluable to my development as a MOM and a person. Moreover, the guidance and support I received through WCMOTC was pivotal in my motherhood journey. It is my pleasure to serve as WCMOTC's president for the 2016-2017 year. -Jillian Sawyer
